My mum and I are both quilters and she has admired barn quilts across the US for years. When my husband and I bought the farm where he grew up, the first thing my mum said was, ‘you’ll have to get a barn quilt!’. That was all I needed to start my search for the perfect quilt square for our farm.

We have three young children and I wanted to make sure that our barn quilt represented our family. I found this quilt square and loved it but I knew the colours needed to be brighter. I am so happy with how it turned out and it has become a focal point for everyone who comes to visit us.
