This was one of the first 4' Barn Quilts to be painted, simple and clean design with bright eye catching colours and a nice story.
This 4 ft. x 4 ft. barn quilt is the Double Friendship Star. It is painted in the same colours as our house (black roof, red siding, white trim). The reason I chose this block is that my last name is Friendly and the Friendship block is the closest I could come to my name. The alternative was the LeMoyne Star because my husband’s name is Lemoine. The “Star in a Star” construction is more of a challenge than the single Friendship Star.
